@Lars , yes, but this is a dirty "hack", or anyway a solution that degenerate your experience with Nautilus, specially with images.
I still think the problem is the large files, elements as <use/> and support xlink. *Almost every browsers based on webkit (and Firefox) have problems with use element and xlink; ...so, I think that maybe Nautilus as filebrowser too.
