"The output from iputils-ping looks like this:
  64 bytes from window.gnome.org (209.132.180.167): icmp_req=1 ttl=53 time=170
ms

Since gnome-nettool looks for icmp_seq, not icmp_req, it discards all output
and considers ping fails."
