Our Friday morning Plenary Speaker, Kathy Jacobs has chosen the title of her talk to be: “The National Climate Assessment: Preparing the Nation for Change.” As Assistant Director for Climate Assessment and Adaptation at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, she worked on the National Climate Assessment, which was recently released. She knows regional science, so it should be Mark Patridge's Fellows Address, will be delivered at Friday 's luncheon. During Saturday 's luncheon, Dan Rickman's Presidential Address will be: “Should Oklahoma Be More Like Texas?: A Taxing Decision.” If you have friends/family/colleagues who you know are planning to present but have not yet submitted an abstract, know that early is better than later for planning purposes. Convey that thought to them: the more, the merrier!
