Our VII World Conference of the Spatial Econometrics Association is approaching very fast! Let us draw your attention on some important dates. The abstract submission deadline will be on April 5th. Our early bird registration will be opened on May 3rd. It will soon be possible to make room reservations at the Key Bridge Marriott, venue of our meeting, at the fantastic rate of $129.00 (plus taxes). Let us also take this occasion to announce that the 6th edition of the summer school of the Spatial Econometrics Association (the Spatial Econometrics Advanced Institute) will take place in the Catholic University of Rome from May, 13th to June, 7th 2013. The instructors will be Giuseppe Arbia, Jean Paelinck, Anil Bera, Ingmar Prucha, Badi Baltagi, Diego Giuliani, Gianfranco Piras and Giovanni Millo. This year conference is organized jointly by the Spatial Econometrics Association and the Regional Research Institute at West Virginia University. The Regional Research Institute has a long-standing reputation for its many contributions to Regional Science. Below are some important dates: * Abstract submission: April, 5th. * Acceptance notifications: April, 19th. * Registration - Early bird registration: May, 3rd. The Conference has the objective to bring together economists, econometricians and regional scientists to discuss the present achievements and future challenges and opportunities in spatial data analysis. Keynote speakers for this year are Bill Greene Dan Mc Millen A special issue of Review of Regional Studies (http://www.srsa.org/rrs/index.htm) will be published with papers presented at the conference. The usual blind review procedure adopted by the journal will apply. The conference venue is the Key Bridge Marriott in Washington DC. The hotel is located near Georgetown and provides easy access to the center of the city and to the monuments and memorials area.
