The Southern Regional Science Association (SRSA) is still accepting abstracts and proposals for sessions for this year's regional meeting which will be held in Washington, DC/Arlington, VA from March 31 to April 2 at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel. To assure inclusion in the program, abstracts should be submitted no later than March 3, 2016. Abstracts received after March 3 will only be considered if time and space allow. Of course, earlier submission is always helpful.
I also wish to remind you of the Barry M. Moriarty Graduate Paper Competition. The Southern Regional Science Association awards an annual cash prize to the graduate student submitting the best paper in Regional Science. In 2016, the prize is $1,000. Papers on any regional science topic may be entered into the competition. Papers should represent original research. The deadline for submission is March 1, 2016. Please forward this information to anyone who might be interested. For eligibility and submission information, go to: http://www.srsa.org/moriartycomp.htm<http://srsa.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a843be43c66903a7edb372402&id=01a71565fb&e=b37bdf4b96> Our conference has always been an ideal setting for integrating students and other young scholars into the profession. We pride ourselves in providing a nurturing and constructive environment, which has been extremely valuable for many new individuals who are just beginning to develop their professional networks. If you have not already made a commitment, I hope that you will consider joining us at the end of March in the Washington, DC area. It is a wonderful time of year in Washington. More importantly, this is a great opportunity for university research scholars and government research scholars to get together for a productive, but collegial weekend. For conference details regarding registration, submission of abstracts, venue, etc., please see our conference website: www.srsa.org<http://srsa.us11.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=a843be43c66903a7edb372402&id=40cdf8f9e8&e=b37bdf4b96> Click on the link for the 2016 Conference.
