Sorry for the need for a follow-up, but thought I should clarify: I hope to be able to provide a good representation of specific, case-study type examples, so I’m my request for input is aimed at identifying particularly good published demonstrations in which policies at larger geographic scales would be demonstrably inadequate.
Thanks again! Randy ==== Summer Greetings, I’m working on a position paper this summer emphasizing the value of subnational regional solutions. I have some examples, but would welcome additional examples of socio-economic problems that a) Can only be addressed using a sub-national regional approach b) Would best be addressed using a sub-national regional approach c) Or would best be approached using an interregional or multi-regional approach If you have ideas or if you have citations to examples from the literature that I might not have considered, please send them my way. Many thanks in advance! Randall Jackson, West Virginia University Office: 304-293-8734 Cell: 304-685-4747 Fax: 304-293-6699 http://www.rri.wvu.edu<http://www.rri.wvu.edu/>
