Paul brings up a good point. Nowadays books are not shipped to other
countries, they are published simultaneously or within a stated period.
There are provisions in the copyright laws of most countries covering this.
In many cases you just can't ship the books to another country. It's almost
like a trade tariff - they want support for printers in their own country -
and this also makes sense in that it is very costly to ship books due to
weight. Much cheaper to send the texts somewhere else for printing. I guess
they either couldn't be bothered or didn't have time to find suitable
printers in Canada and Australia. Maybe they will eventually for the entire
Masters of Fantasy series as that would probably be more viable economically
for the smaller populations of those two.
