Sprague deCamp.  From what Iâve read, REH tops the list for sheer strength in action, pace and story-line.   The Robert Jordan Conan stories are pretty good if you have read all of the original Howard stories and want some more.  I'm not sure they are quite as heart pounding but okay anyways.   Peace   Quixote
