Thanks!  The patch is unfortunately malformed, but I have managed to
apply the patch anyway by going into the lib/ directory and running:

$ patch -p0 < ../patch

For the next time the "svn diff > patch" command should be run in the
base relax directory to be sure that the patch program can handle the
patch file.
