Hi,

It can't be an EOL problem.  The patch program tells me that it's
converting your "\r\n" Windonws EOL character to the Unix "\n" while
applying the patch, but this does not affect the whitespace before it.
 I would guess that it is your editor's settings that is possibly
causing this.  While relax code should not have trailing whitespace,
there are some situations where it is required for epydoc docstring
formatting - equations which use \ at the end for example.  Which
program are you using for editing?
