Thank you for the information.  I have now fixed this problem:

This script is just in relax as a permanent reference as it was used
to generate some of the test data.  It is never used by relax and it
should normally never be imported.  So it is a Fink specific issue.
Somehow it was corrupted with time - a standard bit-rot issue.  I
would have assumed that such problems would never be noticed.  The
change required to remove the syntax error is in that link.  If this
requires a new relax release, please say.
