Hi everybody, On the wiki you can find a update of the status of the feature at June 18 [5].
Finally, a patch [1] for this feature has been approved by Jasper [2], gnome-shell reviewer. It was also tested by Alejandro Piñeiro [3] and reviewed by Joseph Scheuhammer [4], from the accessibility team (Joseph was the one that wrote the magnifier). In parallel with Magdalen working on the feature, the accessibility team and gnome-shell developers (specifically Jasper), were really careful about not adding any regression with the usage of at-spi on gnome-shell. Some bugs were solved [7], and improvements on at-spi2-core were made [8][9][10]. In conclusion the new feature is ready, and patch associated carefully reviewed and tested by different people. With this email I'm asking the approval to push the patch approved at bugzilla.
