since explicit +1'ing is necessary: +1 from me. distros _will_ ship KDE 4.3 with Qt 4.6. the performance improvements and needs of other apps are too great. we will also benefit greatly from features in Qt 4.6, due to the same performance and features. several KDE developers are waiting with patches in hand for Qt 4.6 to be an acceptable target. the downside is that it means we adjust our release schedule to ensure it works out, but that is worth it in this case imho. > This will give us approx. 2 weeks between Qt's RC and KDE's beta 1 and 2 > weeks between the expected Qt final release and the start of our release > candidate cycle.
