LAW PROFESSORS' CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP JOURNAL OF CATHOLIC SOCIAL THOUGHT LUMEN CHRISTI Taking Christian Legal Thought Seriously San Francisco California Hotel Monaco 501 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 Should anyone take Christian thinking about law seriously? Does it constitute a serious alternative to mainstream secular jurisprudence? Can it be characterized as a critical legal philosophy that contests core assumptions of the dominant legal ideology? Can Christian legal thought be relevant and persuasive to those outside a Christian faith tradition? How can one do legal scholarship from within a faith tradition?
