Two pages into this obviously tendentious piece of "research," one spots a tellingly flawed premise: "The goal of the gay movement are [sic] not primarily economic; most gays already have above-average incomes."

The cite for this old canard is a 12-year-old article in the Notre Dame Law Review. Much more recent and readily accessible work would have saved Dent from such carelessness. See, e.g., M. Lee Badgett, Money, Myths, and Change: The Economic Lives of Lesbians and Gay Men (University of Chicago Press, 2001).
