It is mentioned in the remind man page that the valid arguments to -z are 5 through 60. Has this changed?

I am running remind-3.1.3p0.

Ah.  By default, Remind wakes up every 5 minutes, so it might have woken
up just after midnight (let's say 0:02) and only then queue the reminder.

Try -z1 to make Remind wake up once a minute instead of once every 5 minutes.
