Not an English teacher, or even would-be teacher.  I'm an electronics
design engineer, but heavily involved with technical documentation for
over 35 years.  Anyone who's ever worked in high tech, especially on
defense contracts, knows the extent of nitpicking over language and
grammar that goes into drawing up technical specifications.  I've also
learned that in computer programming a single misplaced character in the
source code can mean the difference between success and failure.
