I have to NFS servers, both with the same problem:

[bobg@box7 ~]$ /usr/bin/tkremind /mnt/BOX48/notecase/notecase/stuff.ncd

       TkRemind Copyright (C) 1996-1998 David F. Skoll
Copyright (C) 1999-2010 Roaring Penguin Software Inc.
Error in startup script: Reminders for Friday, 1st February,
       2013 (today):

       child process exited abnormally
            while executing
       "exec -keepnewline $Remind -g -q -r $ReminderFile 2>/dev/null"
            (procedure "ShowTodaysReminders" line 25)
            invoked from within
       "ShowTodaysReminders"
            (procedure "main" line 19)
            invoked from within
       "main"
            (file "/usr/bin/tkremind" line 2936)

I recently upgraded from Fedora 17 to 18 one one computer, I
replaced F-18 with Scientific Linux 6.3 on this one, both protest
   "Can't write reminder file "mnt/BOX48/rem/reminders"

The server seems to be mounted and I can "ls" the files:

       [bobg@box7 ~]$ ll /mnt/BOX48/notecase/notecase/stuff.ncd
       -rw-rw-r--. 1 bobg bobg 1095795 Feb 1 12:18
       /mnt/BOX48/notecase/notecase/stuff.ncd

Setting SELinux to permissive does not seem to make any difference.
It looks like the remind file is damaged ...

I don't know that this is enough information to work with but I am
   lost at this point.

Any suggestion what to look at next will be appreciated.

   Bob
