I’m trying to set up a reminder for three consecutive days:
- The first Friday after November 1
- The Saturday that follows that Friday
- The Sunday that follows that Friday
My current attempt looks like this:
set ffn evaltrig("fri after nov 1")
rem [ffn] msg First Friday after November 1st
rem [ffn+1] msg First Saturday after first Friday after November 1st
rem [ffn+2] msg First Sunday after first Friday after November 1st
The reminder fires correctly on the Friday, but it does not trigger on the
subsequent Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Remind man page, the expression "INT + DATE" (or "DATE +
INT") should return a date obtained by adding INT days to the original
DATE. Using [ffn+1] and [ffn+2] in the message portion indeed prints the
expected dates, yet the reminders themselves never fire.
I also tried a variation with
rem [trigger(ffn+1)] msg First Saturday after first Friday after November
1st
but that also doesn't work.
Could anyone point out what I’m missing or suggest the proper syntax to
schedule the Saturday and Sunday reminders alongside the Friday one?
