Hello, I've noticed an issue with the G400 dualhead card that isn't directly related to the replied-to message, but I thought I'd send a message out to see what the general consensus as to what the problem/cause/solution might be.
I have an AGP G400 that I'm running in a quadhead system (and just let me thank the XFree86 guys right now. I _love_ this setup) as the rightmost two screens. I've noticed that if I have an xterm open on the left-most G400 display using XRender'ed fonts, and I use `ls` in a large directory that causes the xterm window to flood, sometimes (too infrequently to bother me) the right-most G400 display also randomly throw up some of the XRender'ed text (a single line every once in a while). I assume this just has to do with how the G400 driver shares its video buffers among its two displays and with how the XRender system works (bear in mind I have zero hardware coding experience, so I can only guess at what's causing this problem). I've also noticed that this isn't exclusive to XRender rendering. Sometimes resizing windows on the first head in Enlightenment (using technical mode, which throws up lots of single pixel lines) causes garbage to appear on the second head. Like I said, I don't know exactly why this happens, but if any developers are interested in tracking these issues down, I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Thanks again for XFree86, and keep up the great work, --Marc McGarry >Hi there! > >I've got a Matrox G400 videocard, and a SuSE 8.0. >So by default, SuSE doesn't use antialias for rendering X fonts. >How can I set it up?
