Hello

I'm using XFree86 4.2.0 on a SuSE 7.3 Linux box and have some trouble
with color allocation on 8 bit PseudoColor Displays.

There are only 7 colors available for allocation by an self written
application, but this application needs much more colors.

I read somwhere in the web, that the RENDER-Extension in 4.2.0
allocates a lot of colors per default.

So my question:
Is it possible to disable the RENDER Extension for a special DISPLAY?
How can I do this.

Note:
- There is no special entry in my XF86Config to load this extension.
- If possible I would like to start different XServer on the same host
with different ColorDepth settings and different using (enable,
  disable) of the RENDER Extension.

Unfortunately I found no hint on the web :-(. I hope someone in this
list can give me a hint.

Thanks for your time.
