I don't use a blanker on my 6 meter machine, but I've heard that some have had success connecting the blanker to a separate RX antenna.
Another approach is to use a Delta with the blanker board installed. This blanker does its job at I.F. frequencies instead of a separate front end. It worked great on the mobile I used to have installed.
