[Repeater-Builder] M6709 vs. M7716

Kevin & All,   I have a Micor SpectraTac Audio Squelch Card with a blown up M7716 IC. I have the older version chip as a replacement, the M6709.   Will I see a difference in squelch performance from the new chip to the old?  It's the only replacement that I have.   Thanks!   Adam N2ACF Yahoo!
