If I remember correctly, installing a PL259 connector is no longer
part of the Ham examination.
I remember the installation of a PL259 connector was one of the
questions asked in the two-way radio service field testing.
Bottem line... one incorrectly installed connector can take even the
best of systems off the air. Maybe not right away, but later on down
the line..even years down the line.
