It is a re-imported Motorola export only HT that covers commercial/ham, can be user programmed, and is not supported in the US by Big "M". It is relatively cheap on eBay and, once programmed, is fairly easy to use, but, again, don't expect to find local service support from Motorola. It is similar to the AP- and CP- version HTs, but is widebanded and NOT type accepted for US use.
