Hi Don & Rick,
I have been in contact with two different sources for information regarding the ARX-2125 & 1225 model amplifiers. I have some information inbound via fax later today. At this point, there is no service manual available that I or any of the others experimenting with the surplus Uniden ARX-2125 ACSB Trunking Amplifier models. Milcom is gone and Powerwave/Cresend don't have or offer any help for these models. I along with a few others have been in touch with one of the former Milcom people (Roland) regarding some help with these units. Just off the phone, I will send some of the tech info I've made up for these amplifiers to Roland that he might be able to provide some information back to me after we ID the model, which I will happily share with the group. I would like to ask that people reading the posts on the Uniden prc group not continue to pester Roland about this unit. Anything he supplies me will be shared (for free). Rick has done some work with the amplifier as mentioned below... I have a similar 1225 unit in operation, which easily blows 130 watts (clean) output. I have bypased the driver hybrid for higher drive (about 8 watts) input. As mentioned by me before, you can also review the n2chk web page for more information After some information is exchanged, you can have copies of what we turn up. cheers, skipp skipp025 at yahoo.com > , "Rick & Charlotte" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I am running one of these amps right now > with around 100mw drive I am getting around 55 watts > at 224.420 stable output with no spurs > > I did not need to do a lot of mods at this point I > use the controller to run the PTT on the amp as > there is no RF switch to do this funtion > on the amp itself ..
