Instead of doing the normal install, a custome Windoze 
98se type OS Install would have given you the chance to 
add and delete options and programs like the MS Included 
version of Hyperterm. 

Go to the Hyperterm web-site direct and get the latest 
version, it's mucho betta'.  

You have to monkey with the ascii timing a bit when 
dealing with some of the more quirky rs-232 ports...  
ie basic stamps circuits etc. 

PC Plus is also pretty good... the original dos versions 
are much better for the average Joe, vs the dorky 
windoze versions, but I will say the windoze version 
is more powerfull if you're into writing certain types 
of interface programs (scripts).
