A simplex repeater controller connected to a radio set for split operation
(different TX and RX freqs) CAN eliminate the problem of hearing everything
twice, at the expense of being careful not to "double" on the input freq. and
having a delay between RX and TX. HTs or mobiles programmed reverse split of
"repeater" radio will operate somewhat like a regular repeater, without the
simultaneous RX/TX.
