A friend has asked me a question about Exec II channel elements and isn't on
this reflector. So I'll pose the question for him.
I know that in a pinch the GE Mastr II ICOMS can be substituted somewhat for
VHF/UHF, Low band maybe even? (couldn't find the exact thread on this). But,
I don't think I've seen mention of the Exec II's (or MVP's) being able to
swap a VHF chn (or 'crystal') element into a UHF radio or vice versa. Also
what about the low band 50 Mhz? Since the Exec II version doesn't have the
oscillator or EC/2C/5C business, perhaps they will swap around easier
between bands. This is all of course assuming the 'proper' xtal is inserted
for the desired freq of interest.
