Let's be clear that it is the Range 2, 450-512 MHz CDM radios that cannot be
programmed into the 70cm band.  The Range 1, 403-470 MHz CDM radios work
perfectly in the 70cm band, right out of the box.

I should also point out that the CDM1550-LS+ comes in both 16 channel and
160 channel models, in both the Range 1 and Range 2 bands, and in both power
levels (1-25 watt and 25-40 watt).  The 160 channel models have many more
features and signaling capabilities, and are identified by the string "9DP6"
in the model number.
