When we as dealers order the TKR-750 and 850 repeaters there is a factory 
code for them to tune the TX and RX to peak it out.  I have never had a 
problem getting the factory to do it correct but you have to order it 
correctly to get it done.  Also on all the dealer price sheets they tell you 
the unit should be tuned.
I have not had the same problem with the TKR-840 as it is broad band unit.

Maybe the dealer only had the unit programmed and not tuned .  Also there is 
a code for tune RX only and a code to do both TX and RX.
