Yea but if you do the float mod found on repeater builder then the deep
cycle battery will float charge when ever the power supply is plugged in and
turned on

One thing your power convert in the motor home probably does is to keep a 
charge on the RV deep cycle battery.  I doubt that the Astron will do that.
