Most certainly it does ... did that 35+ years ago ... one Motorola Sensicon 'A' Receiver, one Motorola '80D' transmitter strip, a power supply out of a Motorola 'Stan Pac' railroad locomotive 2-way radio, a couple of crystals, a pair of gold crystal ovens, two Motorola cavity resonators, a couple of Ringo antennas, some RG8/U coax and connectors, a telescoping mast, a fan for the transmitter, an ID'er of somesort, an open frame rack to install it all in and a donated repeater site. How simple do you want? More recently ... a pair of Motorola highband Motrans (U43MSN), a couple of properly crystaled Channel Elements, a couple of custom built voice coil to line / line to mic input networks (also had automatic PTT installed - all on one pair of wires) 2 12 volt batteries, a couple of antennas and masts, a good map, plenty of food ... munchies, beer, soda pop, suntan lotion, etc. and departed for the Baja. The Baja 500 off-road race 33-34-35?? years ago. Is that simple enough? Of course, it helped at the time I worked for a local two-way radio service shop and had access to all the test equipment I needed ... Now-adays ... Comm Spec make a simple repeater controller ... receiver to transmitter audio coupling doesn't need a gold plated metal box that also tells you 'Good Morning' ... Neil - WA6KLA
