Hi Andy,
For the TK-840 Mobile you should obtain the kct-19 accessory cable
and a copy of the service manual. Most of the functions you're asking
about are brought out to the rear connnector supplied on the end
("flying lead") of the plug and play cable.
Your local Kenwood Dealer should be able to supply everything. If
not Kenwood Parts "Pac-parts" is another public source you can use
your credit card to order what you need.
