I had a few GM300's VHF laying around the house for a few years. Got my
ham ticket back in the winter and have been trying to make a 2meter
repeater. Got em programmed with out any problems, ordered a cable that
plugs into the 16 pin connection of one and into the mic slot of
another. I'm using an 8ch Gm300 as the Reciever and a 16ch Gm300 as the
transmitter. I have them connected to a couple of mag mounts on a metal
roof. I have spent a total of $98 so far and have a small repeater
system. Eventually, I will get a duplexer an add a fan. I was able to
program a TOT of 60 seconds in the TX radio and the cable had a 2s tail
on the hang time.
