Paul,

That confirms my belief that e-Bay prices are often created by clueless
buyers and sellers. I bought my IFR AM/FM 1200 manual directly from IFR
(now Aeroflex) for $125, although it was on e-Bay for $200. It's not
unusual for a seller to quote a price that is two or three times the
manufacturer's price- and someone will buy it! Go figure...

It's amazing: Some people never think to ask the manufacturer FIRST, before
posting queries on the Internet. I often see requests for Xerox copies of
Kenwood manuals, even though an original manual is readily available from
Kenwood for less.

While we are on the subject of service monitors---

An IFR 1100S is available near here---but Im not familiar with this model.

Questions

Is there a complete unit description of this model on the Web somewhere?

What are the weak points?----What should I look out for?----

Many thanks,

Scott
