Well, I was using the meter within the receiver shelf while I was performing the tune-up... but it's been so long ago, I don't remember the exact readings. I guess the next time I go to the tower site, I could run through the meter switch settings and write them all down...
I don't remember the tuning slugs being at the end of their range - either all the way in or out... This receiver has been on the air for about 9 months... I don't have any major complaints about its operation, but if possible I would like to get a bit better sensitivity out of it. The again, maybe its better that the main site is a tad bit deaf - gives the remotes a better chance of being voted. ???? You should have run out of tuning range on the multipliers L101, L102, L103, and if so, do the caps. The front end should still be tuning OK; if you can peak the signal and still have some adjustment on each side of maximum, the front end is OK. Of course, if the mixer injection signal is real low, you'll lose some sensitivity; in that case the caps will probably help. How are your meter readings?
