Don,

Perhaps you have already seen this LBI on the Master Index:

<www.repeater-builder.com/ge/lbi-library/lbi-30869l.pdf>

It may not be a good idea to assume that the above LBI applies to your unit,
simply because it appears to be the only LBI in the list that is applicable.
There may be other LBIs that are not yet posted, and one of them may be the
one you need.

However, if LBI-30869L happens to be exactly the one you need, it would seem
that the maximum charging current cannot exceed either 2 amperes or 3
amperes, depending upon the value of the fuse. The float voltage is set
with the pot R4 or R16, again depending upon which model and group unit you
have installed.

One thing to keep in mind is that a continuous-duty station power supply is
frequently sized to supply the maximum amount of current needed when
operating at full power, plus a little extra. If you don't limit the
charging current to your backup battery when AC power returns, the station
power supply may be unable to supply both the PA load AND a hefty battery
charging load. The one-ohm, ten-watt resistor in the emitter leg of the
large pass transistor exists primarily to limit the charging current to some
value below the fuse rating, which value again depends upon which model you
have.

battery revert option questions

Its on the master index. Mastr II - INTERNAL BATTERY STANDBY CHARGER OPTION
BC01 (9669), 9670 AND 9771 LBI30869L. Its the stock ferro power supply. I
would assume its part # is 19D430272G1

Forgot to ask - what LBI is that option? If it's on
the LBI master list I could look at the LBI and at
the schematic...
Or if you don't know the LBI, what is the supply
part number?
