I can't disagree with that.  My personal preference is to simply start
the fans with TX keying, and parallel the fan contacts with a 90F snap
switch.  (Yes, when it is hot in the room up there, the fans run all
the time.)  I like to reduce the thermal swings that the components
are forced to go through.  This is done by starting the fans early and
not waiting for the heat sinks to rise to 120F then begin cooling.
