Hi Ian, 

Don't know exactly what bands you are allowed to operate 
in your country... but where possible we license up additional 
frequency pairs in the adjacent band and/or use frequencies 
in another entire range. 

I've done a number of in-band links and repeaters and have 
been able to get everything to properly play with enough 
antenna isolation, power adjustment, band-pass and notch 
cavity filtering. 

Although it's another entire game... you might consider ltr 
trunking to keep your customers from hearing each other and 
no busy out systems if properly set up.
