Let me further clarify the previous. When I turn Remote Base Xmt ON, 
I'm expecting the "Remote Base Tail Beep" to go from 500Hz (Xmt OFF) 
to 1Khz (Xmt on). That never happens, thus I believe that the xmt is 
never coming on, so the PTT transister never gets the drive from the 
CPU.
