do anything to get it going....later models were all flat-pak wave soldered 
stuff and REALLY not user serviceable by people like me.
I go between using old commercial continuous duty amps on Repeaters to using a 
Mirage (price) for 2 meters with my HT in my company vehicle. I also would like 
to build a decent VHF or UHF amp for general use....let me know if you come 
across a good schematic.
Have not found one yet but have not looked hard.
