Yes, I like my folded dipole over many antennas also, but to have the
proper amount of electrical down tilt that I required, I would not see
getting created on the 224.

The sd213 is agood antenna but while I use a tx combiner with average of
300w cont the sd213 is only rated at I think 150w. where my ant450d6 is good
for my rooftop installation cause I would not personally place this antenna
at 300- or 800' on the tower , do to past exp and design of the ant.

These are all good antennas if placed into the right environment and
application, also in the right budget

Not making this a large thread, it was just a choice I had made in the pick
of antennas and having 11 ham repeaters and 4 sites of 16 channels per site
of astro 7x system. Just say I been down that road many times

Why would you no longer use folded dipole design antennas just because of
one manufacturer having a quality control problem? Other manufactuers make
folded dipole design antennas if you no longer wish to use DB.

I'll take my folded dipole any day over a fiberglass antenna when my site is
paid a visit from Mr. Lightning Strike, not to mention no performance
changes due to down tilt. YMMV.
