According to Kenwood's brochure, the TK-860HG-1 is a 128-channel, 40 watt
radio for the 450-470 MHz band. The TK-862HG-1 is the same power and range,
but 8 channel. More info here:

Bill,

Please be specific about your radio model numbers, and include any suffix
letters and/or numbers.

For the TK-830 radio (but not the TK-830G, TK-830H, TK-8302H, TK-830HU, or
TK-8302U) the service manual is B51-8176-00, about $24.

For the TK-860 and TK-862 radios (but not the TK-86x-G, TK-86xGK, or
TK-86xHG) the service manual is B51-8328-00, about $23.

Order these manuals and programming supplies from any Kenwood parts house,
such as www.pacparts. com

Good morning to all and thank you for all of the information I have already
received on this site.
I have just received some Kenwood TK-830 TK-860 and TK-862 radios. They
appear to be in good condition, but I am new to Kenwood and now I need
service manuals, cables, and software to program them. Is there anyone out
there who can help? Many thanks,
Bill
