Hi, today I fell upon this link:

Unfortunately noticeable part of that information is not directly
applicable or obsoleted, which makes it somewhat painful to use.

Among others you have to rebuild Replicant to be able to modify
the initial ram filesystem.

Isn't it possible to use something like unmkbootimg?

It says how to run Debian on the Android kernel, then how to create a chroot
for Android, and finally (in the chroot), run Debian applications from a
vnc.

I was able to do this, taking the suggestions of the link above but far
from using it literally.

This got me thinking that it perhaps could be possible for Replicant and a
FSF approved distro to do a similar thing.

Indeed, it would be great to have at least a hook for plugging in
a general purpose Linux underneath Replicant.

4) Do you know of any applications on Replicant, which instead of forwarding
an X11 screen to Replicant, forwards an Android screen to X11?

Check the forks of
  https://github.com/oNaiPs/droidVncServer
some of them look active and may be usable.

Thanks for this.
