Ah, that would defenitely explain why your flashing attempts have failed.

Yes and no. For every "major" variant of a device, there are typically "minor"
variants that for the most part share the same hardware (e.g. SoC, screen,
storage), but have some things that are different about them (e.g.modem,
camera, dual sim card tray). In your case, you found below that there are
different minor variants of the GT-I9301I:

There is a particular variant of the GT-I9301i that offers the dual sim card
slot, but yours does not have it.

Back to why the recoveries aren't working. You may not have seen it, but in the
replicant thread you linked below, you'll notice that the the GT-19301i has a
Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC (System on Chip), but the GT-19305 has a Samsung Exynos
SoC. While these are both branded as a "Galaxy S3", they have very different
hardware inside.

In order to get a working recovery, you will want to download one matching your
device's major variant. The codename used by TWRP and other projects for the
GT-19301i is "s3ve3g". You can download the correct TWRP recovery file for your
device here: https://dl.twrp.me/s3ve3g/

Unfortunately, it does not seem like there is any interest to port Replicant to
this device. If you are still wanting to use Replicant, as it is the only fully
free (as in freedom) android distribution, you will have to source another
supported device. In the future, be sure to double check the specific model
number before purchasing, and avoid any listings that only vaguely specify
(Galaxy S3).

While the Replicant mailing list is not an appropriate place to discuss/promote
other projects, in the interest of getting your phone working again, I will
leave you with the following codenames for your device that may help you in
your search:

GT-19301i minor variant codenames:
Samsung Sensor (s3ve3gjv)
Sony Sensor (s3ve3gxx)
Dual Sim (s3ve3gds)

Best of luck in your endeavor.

Kind Regards,
