A bit off topic, but SWIM is looking into Pixel a3 running using postmarketos. Last time SWIM tested this setup, volume on voice calls were an issue but calls and texts worked on the device. There have been changes made since that means it is possible that volume now works OK now on the device with recent versions of pmos but this needs more testing which SWIM hasn't quite got round to doing yet. SWIM thinks this won't require many firmware blobs. SWIM is aware that PinePhone battery life isn't brilliant and there were/are some other hiccups with PinePhone. SWIM finds it hard to buy pinephone in the country SWIM is in, so SWIM took a jump and bought Pixel a3 long time ago.
