*Position Title* – Network Engineer (3 Positions) *Location* – Charleston, WV *Duration* – 2 Years *Pay Rate* – $40/hour (All Inclusive on C2C) *Description* The technician will be responsible for assisting in the planning, configuration, and implementation of WAN/LAN infrastructure. This equipment will consist of, but not limited to; routing, firewall services, wireless, and voice convergence devices. *Requirements:* This role will assist the Office of Technology in transitioning the state's existing infrastructure to a converged network combining the needs of video, voice, and data onto one platform in an effort to increase the State's overall communications value and efficiency. The candidate will work closely with an Office of Technology engineer and Project Manager. The candidate will be responsible for the configuring and connectivity of agencies to the new state network. This includes, but not limited to, data circuitry, firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, and VPN concentrators. The project consists of network designing, equipment configuration/installation, documentation, and troubleshooting. In addition, the engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical support and advice to others on engagements of office relocations and equipment deployments while working with team members and third party organizations. During the project implementation, technological methodologies and components will be utilized. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* - Supports the planning, configuration, and implementation of reliable, Cisco Infrastructure Support technical solutions - Active development and presentation of economic and risk analysis, business cases and project service requests - Participates as a technology representative in inter-agency teams assembled to research technology projects - Understands and complies with all OSHA company safety regulations - Ensures that all pertinent local, state and federal laws and regulations are followed in the area of responsibility - Actively develops procedures and standards - Documents new and existing network infrastructure - Inspect premises to ascertain location and space available for new equipment installation - Coordinate and schedule installation of equipment with vendors - Work with vendors, application developers and other technology groups to resolve problems - Prepares floor plans for the arrangement of equipment for customer or architect approval - Prepares cost estimates for equipment installations and submits data to management for approval - Prepare analysis for types and quantities of equipment to be installed - Analyze and specify environmental conditions for new hardware installation - As required, provides consulting to other technology groups - Prepare and simulate disaster recovery action plan - Prepares management reports from project information - Develops and maintains Infrastructure Support processes that are in harmony with PMO and enterprise practices - Implements plans and projects in a timely and efficient way - Develops Infrastructure Support and Business Services performance measures - Provides third-level support in the maintenance of network infrastructure * * *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* - Cisco routers, switches, and related networking hardware - Experience with network security firewalls and appliances - Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills - Proficient knowledge of Enterprise LANs and WANs - Comprehension of the OSI reference model - Experience with switched Ethernets, VLANs, and layer three switching - Experience with routing (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP) - Concepts of Internet, VPN, Intranet and Extranets - SNMP Network Management platforms / interoperability - Familiarity with MPLS, ATM, Sonnet, Frame relay, PPP, wireless, mobile computing, satellite, radio, DS3, T-1 and ISDN BRI/PRI - Network test equipment: network/protocol analyzers, fiber/copper cable testers, various transmission test sets - Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills - Team facilitation skills - Individual coaching and mentoring skills - Project management skills - Negotiation and consensus building skills - Subject matter expertise in one or more Infrastructure Support technical disciplines *Desired Certification(s):* · Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert · Cisco Certified Network Associate · Cisco Certified Network Professional Thanks Shivendra iBusiness Solution LLC Phone: 412-894-1929 Email: shiven...@ibusinesssolution.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "REQSRESUMES" group.
