Work includes testing applications with teams on a rule-based process automation platform in simulated and real equipment environment, as well as developing and maintaining a variety of simulators in support of the development/test teams. Strong in analysis, design, development, and testing of distributed application; broad and deep understanding of SONET/SDH, OTN, and TMF814 standards and capable of implementing/verifying this conceptual knowledge to transport network management systems; hands on experience with fault management, network element and facility provisioning in a simulated element management system (EMS); troubleshooting for network maintenance and service automation; knowledge of WebLogic, web service/XML, Oracle database, and Shell scripts. Working knowledge on equipment such as DWDM, SONET optical switch, OTN switch, transponders, muxponders, and optical repeaters, from Ciena, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, and NSN/Siemens is a plus.
