**Job title: Storage Administrator Location: South Brunswick, NJ Duration: 10+ Months Contract Requirements: Hitachi and Netapp experience POSITION DESCRIPTION The position of Storage Consultant will be responsible for day to day operational support of both SAN/NAS. This person must be able to work independently and provide hardware, software, application, and limited network support for production and non-production environments. This person will also be able lead small projects, deal with vendors, investigate and analyze problems, and be able to do training sessions with internal teams when required. POSITION DETAILS: Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following areas: Strong knowledge (5-10 yrs experience) of Storage internals and architecture Minimum 5 years or proven working knowledge with the following: Hitachi SAN technology including 9585, AMS500, AMS1000, AMS2500, USP-V, VSP Brocade switches (DCX, 48000, 5300) plus knowledge of DCFM management software Hitachi HDLM, Tuning Manager, USP/VSP virtualization of external storage Minimum 2 years or proven working knowledge with the following: Netapp NAS arrays including FAS3XXX and V3XXX filers Netapp ONTAP 7.x and 8.x Netapp SnapMirror, Ops Manager (DFM), Systems Manager Proven performance troubleshooting experience CIFS/NFS protocols Some working knowledge of the following would be helpful: Windows 2000/2003, Redhat Linux, Solaris, AIX EMC Celerra NAS hardware plus replication knowledge 3PAR SAN including S800 and/or S400 models HP SAN hardware including XP 12K, XP 10K HP Performance Advisor Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager (HDT) Windows and/or Linux scripting experience Participate in on-demand cross-training initiatives and in-house training programs to further the knowledge of all IT engineering professionals within the Global Technology Services organization Demonstrate strong proficiency in written and verbal communications Demonstrate strong leadership skills EDUCATION AND TRAINING The level of education and training for the Systems Administrative Consultant will require the following level of education, training, or years of professional service in the related industry.
